A journalist is piecing together what initially comes off as a run-off-the-mill detective case, notwithstanding as they carry on piecing all the details they soon spell out a mysterious confabulation which involves a local parish in remote Mexico, a missing priest with possible heretic tendencies and a much more saturnine higher power possibly at play.
